Cork English Academy is excited to be the first school in Ireland to offer a unique host family self-catering accommodation option. We have provided this choice to our English language students for two years now, and it has quickly gained popularity. Our accommodation offering now features two fantastic host family experiences:

1. Host Family with Meals (Traditional Option)

€220 per week
Enjoy a classic homestay experience with daily meals provided by your host family, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in local family life and culture. Meals are half-board ( breakfast and dinner) Monday to Friday and full-board ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the weekends both Saturday and Sunday.

2. Host Family Self-Catering (Modern Option for Changing Needs)

€190 per week
Experience the independence of preparing your own meals while staying with a friendly host. This option is perfect for students looking for flexibility and a balance between homestay comfort and self-sufficiency.

Who Are Our Self-Catering Hosts?

Our self-catering hosts may have dinner at varying times throughout the week, making it easier for them to open their kitchens to students who prefer the independence of cooking for themselves.

While meals aren’t provided, our self-catering hosts are welcoming and friendly, happy to chat with students in the evenings. This setup allows for social interaction and language practice while respecting the independence that many students seek.
